Customer Reviews: I guess you get what you pay forAugust 11, 2010 ShawnNC I purchased this camera because I wanted a waterproof camera for a kayaking trip. I plan on using for other waterbased activities as well. However, I did not receive the camera before the trip even though I paid for the expedited shipping (that's another story). I took the camera to use on a recent vacation (before I figured out it's little quirks). Taking pictures is not as friendly as other digital cameras. On other cameras, you hold the button down half way and it focuses the image and gives you a preview. This camera does not do that. It waits to focus on the image until after you push the button to actually take the picture. Once it takes the picture, the picture review goes away so fast you can't really see what you just took a picture of unless you go into the "play" mode. Not a fast process if you find that you want to retake the picture. As for taking videos, don't bother. Videos are very grainy. There is no microphone for sound - this makes sense to maintain the watertight integrity. I guess I will have to wait and see how it does under water.
