interferes with WiFiAugust 19, 2010 H. Lai(New York, NY) This adapter does work in hooking up an external monitor (successfully hooked up a 24" monitor at 1920x1080 resolution). However, it is not fully shielded, or the shielding is faulty, and when attached my wifi internet connection is greatly reduced to be basically unusable. Buyer beware!

I bought this product because it seemed like a cheaper alternative to an Apple branded adapter that would do the same thing.
I've found that although it does work some of the time, it does not always work.
Frustratingly, when my MacBook Pro comes back from sleep, I often don't get any output to my external monitor connected through this adapter.
When this happens, I have to unplug and replug the adapter several times before I finally get a picture on the other display.
I would not recommend this product because of this issue.

I bought this to use with my macbook and some external displays. I was a little disappointed to discover that this can't be paired with a DVI-> VGA adapter. I've since then discovered that it's not a limitation of this product, but with all DisplayPort to DVI adapters.
I didn't experience any problems using this with a DVI to HDMI adapter either. No screen flicker or anything. The price is just ok though. [...]

I use this to connect an unibody 15" Mac Pro to a Dell 20" 1680x1050 LCD. Works great and much cheaper than the Apple branded.
