4 out of 5 stars Inexpensive solution that works great for Underwater Video/Photos   January 28, 2010
Jonathan B. Allen (Grand Rapids, MI)
I have been on at least 10 dives(average 35ft) with this bag system and have been at depths of 62 feet and have not had the bag fail(HAS NEVER FLOODED on me yet). The packaging I received states it is good up to 60ft(30 meters) Its hard next to impossible underwater to change modes(photo to Video) on the Kodak Easyshare camera so I make a decision above water to shoot either video or photos. I have my camera standby mode set to 10 mins, so I don't lose my video mode while underwater. A hardshell case would be ideal but they cost too much and none are made for this model of camera, hence why I choose this bag system since it is the only system that has a decent depth rating. Because there is so much space in the bag my camera will move around so I use doubled sided easy remove 3M tape squares to keep it in position. It keeps my camera in position while I get to depth, otherwise the camera will shift to a position that makes the camera unable to perform because the zoom lens is out of position and getting jammed. Once at depth the bag will compress around it This is a good, inexpensive alternative for the Kodak Easyshare, since there is no underwater hardcase for it. I have used this camera system only in cold fresh water(inland lakes of Michigan). Battery has gone dead due to cold at depth, but once in shallow water returns to working levels. This is due to the camera/battery, not the bag system. This has been a great starter kit for me to enjoy/record my underwater adventures using this inexpensive solution. Highly recommend it for beginners or current owners of Kodak EasyShare HD video/photo cameras.

5 out of 5 stars Para uso no profesional tiene 5 estrellas!!!   June 24, 2009

1 out of 5 stars way too big for my camera   May 5, 2009
Dave
This product is way too big for my Kodak M753. I can't keep the lens on the camera lined up with the hole in the case to get a good picture - and that's with it nowhere near water. Didn't even try it under water - I can't take a decent picture above water as it is!

I should have done my research and made sure I was getting the right size for my camera instead of just trusting the Amazon ad.

4 out of 5 stars Not as easy to use as another brand   March 28, 2009

Ordered this for a trip and it didn't arrive in time (my fault for ordering late), so found a similar item by DiCaPAC at a local store and went and got it. Pricing was about the same. This item comes apart with loose items to keep track off to put the camera in and take it out... the knobs unscrew, you take the front black strip off, you take the bag off the screws, put the camera in, put the bag back on the screws, put the black strip back on, screw the three screws in tight. Pieces can be lost. The DiCaPAC we got is a series of a zipper and then rolling it and securing with velcro and then another velcro; all the pieces are attached. Makes it much easier to put the camera in and take it out again, in my opinion.

The photo quality is impressive with the lens glass. I'm vey happy with the photos I've taken with this bag. We have used both bags since we have two Kodak M1033 cameras in the house. I had used an underwater housing bag from Aquapac in the past which worked, but didn't have the glass lens. What a difference! You can't even tell you're using a bag, the pictures are just like taking on land.

Very happy with being able to use our cameras underwater. There's no problems with accessing any of the camera's controls/buttons. Holding the camera and taking pictures is easy. 30' depth rating is much more than we'll ever need for our snorkeling adventures and the backyard pool.

Would have been a five except for the loose pieces of how the bag is put together. Other than that design flaw (my opinion), it works great and we love it. Trips to the beach are not to be feared now!

1 out of 5 stars It drawned my brand new Kodak camera   January 19, 2009

I follow the instructions by the book, and it was filled with salty water in seconds after I only used it a few inches deep.
On top of that the case I received, wasn't for the camera model I asked so the camera had plenty of room, though it didn't have nothing to do with the water leak.
I do not recommend this product at all
