 Very disappointed in Samsung. Horrible camcorder. Unreliable. Poor quality. March 20, 2010

I received this camera as a gift. I have had all of the disc error issues everyone else has mentioned. I offered to videotape a friend's wedding and received a disc error right before the "I Do's" and lost the entire thing. I've tried the recommended brand of DVD's and even other brands, just to have precious memories either lost or forever stuck on DVD's unplayable anywhere except for on the camcorder. Samsung should be ashamed to not have pulled this off the shelves immediately and refunded everyone's money. I'll not buy Samsung products ever again.

We bought this camera because it was the only one at the store that was MAC compatible... and that was our mistake! We, like others who agree this camera SUCKS, lost two very precious memories... the day our son was born and Christmas. I would pay $1000 to get those moments back on video, but thanks to Samsung, I will never get them back. The camera is only 5 months old. It allowed us to take video and at the end, said there was a formatting error. After six phone calls, and being told three times that someone would call me back, I finally called case management 1-888-685-1358 to hear what they were telling me all along... Samsung will only repair the camera. This camera didn't work when it was brand new, so I will never trust their "repairs!" Samsung should be ashamed of themselves!! I will NEVER buy Samsung again!

This camcorder was in great shape and easy to use! It came in the mail very quickly too! Everything that the seller said would come with the camcorder, did! Thanks!

after taping precious memories and anything very very important to me, more than half the time i found the discs to be unfinalizable. numerous times i had taped amazing things that i wanted to share with people, and upon trying to finalize the disc it would simply say "disc error." no troubleshooting help. no way around the problem. no other way to bring what you taped into any other format besides the disc. i have lost another invaluable set of memories on this camera again after trying to finalize it. i am returning this as soon as i can because it is downright terrible.

We bought this camcorder before our first child was born in January. Due to the horrible faults of this product, we have lost precious video memories of our son's first six months! We have tried multiple disc formats (DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW and brands (TDK, Maxell, Sony), and every time we receive a message of "Disc Error" or something similar and all of the data is lost. It cannot be replayed on the computer or DVD player. When we actually got one disc with video saved on it, it was impossible to copy the video onto the computer or another disc to share with family. We have wasted countless hours trying to figure this thing out! And Samsung help gave pointless explanations of "bad discs," "wrong disc format," "you overfilled the disc." Count on losing whatever you want to record.
