Product Description
iTrip Auto for Sansa plays your music on your car's FM stereo as it charges so you can listen as you ride.

We've added four user-programmable presets to iTrip Auto for Sansa to make this the hardest-working iTrip for Sansa ever. Play your Sansa's music on your car's stereo system without wires as it charges so you arrive at your destination fully charged ready to go.

Just plug into your car's 12 V accessory outlet or cigarette lighter, set your radio to one of iTrip Auto's pre-sets and iTrip does the rest. iTrip's digital FM radio broadcaster sends music from your Sansa to a clear, open frequency on your car's FM radio in crisp, clear FM stereo. And once you find that perfect station, iTrip Auto can remember the setting with on of four user-programmable pre-sets.

This is also our most compatible iTrip for Sansa ... we've also updated iTrip Auto's compatibility so it works with the new Sansa Connect along with Sansa's e200 and c200 series players.

Features:

  • Listen to your Sansa's music on your car's stereo system.
  • Digital FM transmitter sends your music to your car's FM radio.
  • Easy to use - just connect the cables and set the stations.
  • Power and charge your Sansa player through your car's 12 Volt accessory port.
  • Four user-programmed presets for quick recall.
  • Backlit LCD for easy visibility during setup.

4 out of 5 stars Pretty Good   June 24, 2010
    T. Capece (Whitestone, NY)
I originally bought this 3 years ago (at $80!) and it worked great for 2 years before it started to die. In order to get it to work, the wires needed to be held in certain positions, etc. I purchased this as a replacement and it worked just as wonderfully as it did the first time I ordered it years ago. My only complaint is that the older version used to let you go through every FM station and the new one doesn't go quite as low as my car radio. But for this price, the product is great.

    4 out of 5 stars A good little transmitter   June 11, 2010
    Tony Z (Austin TX)
This transmitter does a pretty good job. It is easy to use, but the quality of the sound of any transmitter depends on having a quiet spot on the radio dial. It keeps the mp3 player charged quite well, and can be used as a charger as well.

5 out of 5 stars Just as good as my pricey ipod charger!   May 29, 2010
    kraziekatieVee (Po-Dunk, Ilinois)
I previously owned an itrip for my ipod brand, now own a sansa fuze and this transmitter not only transmitts as well as the 40 dollar itrip but also charges the battery at the same time. It is corded, however I couldn't ever get any farther from the radio with the itrip so... I'm a happy camper at a 4th of the cost!

4 out of 5 stars Works as expected   April 2, 2010
    Burgerlord (Glenside, PA United States)
The product is fairly simple to use. I have no antenna in my car so that probably helps in terms of reception. The sound quality is adequate, although certain rages (high bass or high treble) can be a little staticy. All in all it allows me to listen to my tunes while commuting, and that's all I need. There is some weird quirk, though, where if you have it plugged in while turning on the car it causes the channel selected on the device to reset. I just unplug mine after turning off the car, so it's not a big deal.

If you are a serious audiophile, then you will probably want to spend money on a decent sound system and find another way to connect your mp3 player anyway, so don't bother buying this product.

    1 out of 5 stars I wish i didn't buy it   October 20, 2009
    Rahel E. Leary (De)
No matter what channel I select for the FM transmitter, its sounds awful. There is interference, the signal is weak, the sound quality... far from stellar.

I am not an audiophile but I would have expected better results with a company like Griffin. Buyer beware, unless you like your MP3s sounding like they are coming out of a phonograph from the early 1900's.
