The frame looks good.
However, the instructions are poorly written.
Could not set the correct time.
It just wouldn't allow the selection of the correct day.
Was able to get many photos inputted and the slide show was great.
However, it now turns itself off after two or three photos appear in the show, or after any function, which appears to be a time based shut off.
One time it did function correctly after the auto shut off started, but now it won't, it just shuts itself off.
Have gone to web site and have tried all suggestions, none of which are on point, but with no luck.
Basically, it is not worth anything.
Rates zero stars.
Buy this at your own risk.

This review is for the SPX8 frame from Smartparts ordered directly from Amazon. The frame itself is a good quality item. The screen is clear and good quality, even with the small-sized, optimized files that are created by the frame when you insert a memory card. This item is easy to use and looks good doing its thing. Even the speaker's audio quality was decent. And Amazon was tremendous with customer service. I called their support line after the 2-day shipment was delayed and got a full refund of the shipping fees without having to wait on hold for 2 hours.

I had to return it back to amazon because it was dead out of the box. The other reviewers had the same problem. Prepare to test your luck purchasing this Smartparts digital frame.

I thought this frame was very simple to use. Getting the pictures on with the smartparts software was very fast. And downloading the software took 2 minutes. I gave it 4 stars because the instructions could have been a little more detailed but it was pretty simple to figure out.
Did not work out of the box. DOA December 31, 2008
